Seriously, Cristo is flat spent. Nice going, Goddess of Freedom.I believe what Ukraine International Airlines is trying to say is that they fly to both Rio and NYC.

Dazzle Camouflage

Did you know during WWI & II the British experimented with decorating some of their boats and planes with crazy camo? I know I have seen this before but for some reason it is just now sinking into my head. Developed for the intention of confusing the enemy on the size and shape, and which direction it was traveling.

What I find most interesting though is the person it was developed by. Norman Wilkinson was an illustrator/painter from the turn of the century that later volunteered for the Royal Navy during WWI. Had it been any regular military man I can imagine the patterns being much more technical and boring, but Wilkinson managed to design some really interesting imagery: especially for that era. The designs look very contemporary.
